The Gap is an organisation committed to it’s vision of working with excluded and marginalised young people in Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas. We will step into the gap between exclusion and acceptance and between apathy and hope, demonstrating the acceptance of Jesus Christ regardless of circumstance or situation. Through developed relationships we will identify needs and invest in young people through the provision of a sustainable programme of support, discipleship, training and mission opportunities
So what does this mean?
The Gap is an organisation committed to it’s vision of working with excluded and marginalised young people in Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
We are a group of people committed to the organisations long term future of support for the young people in this town
We want to go to those who are excluded, whether by their own choice or by others and the marginalised, those left on the sidelines
We do not have any particular group of people in mind - we can all find ourselves excluded and marginalised at times...
We will step into the gap between exclusion and acceptance and between apathy and hope,
The name gap* comes from here!
Where there is exlusion we will bring acceptance and where there is apathy we will bring hope
demonstrating the acceptance of Jesus Christ regardless of circumstance or situation.
everyone who wears a gap* hoody is a follower of Jesus.
We want to show his acceptance to all, regardless of what someone looks like, who they are or the situation they find themselves in. Jesus Christ came for all - we will do the same!
Through developed relationships we will identify needs
This is our "engage" section where we will meet young people and be able to identify needs
and invest in young people through the provision of a sustainable programme of support, discipleship, training and mission opportunities
We will then "invest" in the young people through a sustainable support programme for their emotional and physcial needs.
